OTT System

IPTV (Internet Protocol TeleVision), and OTT (Over The Top), are both using Internet and IP technology to transmit the contents to the final subscribers.

In IPTV,

1. IPTV operator use DRM to encrypt the contents, and use CMS to control the contents and subscription.
2. Subscriber use IPTV Box to receive and show the contents.
3. IPTV is a “private” network, it is limited in some specific area. If subscriber is out of that “private” network, then he can not access to that IPTV network.
4. IPTV is widely used in Hotel TV, Private-Network (Company)-TV, etc.

In OTT,

1. OTT operator use DRM to encrypt the contents, and use CMS to control the contents and subscription.
2. Subscriber use OTT Box to receive and show the contents.
3. OTT operator need to provide the public IP address
4. OTT are not limited to the specific area. Any place, any subscribers, if he has the internet access, so he can access to the OTT platform.
